Susi Brister graduated in 2001 from the University of Texas at Austin, where she received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in both studio art and cultural anthropology. In 2008, Susi completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in studio art photography at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her work has been exhibited in both the US and Canada, and she is the recipient of several awards, including a DAAD award to support a photographic project depicting Berlin in its post-reunification state. In January 2011, Parisian Laundry exhibited Susi’s premiere Canadian solo show, Menagerie. Susi currently lives and works in Austin, Texas, where her work was recently shown in the 2011 Texas Biennial.
