I find Christopher Wool‘s work extremely interesting. I like how he explores visual language through diverse mediums. He finds a perfect balance between repetition and randomness, depth and flatness, movement and stillness. His exploration of silkscreen printing methods and the uses he makes of commercial printing materials such as enamel and spray paint certainly is anchored in the pop art movement, and his grand gesture can’t help but remind us of abstract expressionism.
